Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need a diagnosis to attend counselling?

No. You do not need to have a diagnosis, or to know exactly what is “wrong”, to seek counselling. Many people come to counselling because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to cope with current challenges. Counselling can be helpful even when concerns feel unclear or difficult to name.

2. Who do you work with?

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families. This includes individuals experiencing emotional distress, work or study stress, relationship difficulties, executive functioning challenges, and life transitions.

I also work with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as individuals who are exploring this possibility.

3. What happens in a counselling session?

Counselling sessions provide a confidential and supportive space to explore what has been bringing you in. Sessions may involve discussing emotions, experiences, and relationships, as well as working on practical strategies to manage daily challenges, depending on your needs.

Sessions are collaborative and paced, and we regularly check in to ensure the work feels helpful and relevant.

4. How long are sessions and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 60 minutes long. The frequency of sessions varies depending on your goals and circumstances, with many clients attending weekly or fortnightly. This can be adjusted over time.

5. Do you offer online counselling?

Yes. Online counselling is available and may be suitable for individuals who prefer remote sessions or require greater flexibility. In-person sessions may also be available, subject to suitability and availability.

6. How much do sessions cost?

Individual counselling sessions are $180 per session.
Couple counselling sessions are $200 per session.
Family counselling sessions are $200 per session.

Payment details will be shared upon confirmation of your session.

7. What if I’m not sure counselling is right for me?

If you’re unsure whether counselling would be helpful, you’re welcome to book a free, non-obligatory 15-minute discovery call. This provides an opportunity to ask questions, briefly share what brings you here, and decide on next steps without commitment.

8. How do I get started?

You may begin by booking a free discovery call or by booking a counselling session directly. If you have questions before booking, you are also welcome to get in touch via email or WhatsApp.
